The implementation process for keylight is designed for speed and reliability, typically allowing businesses to go live in a matter of weeks. The journey begins with a 'Scoping' phase, where keylight’s experts analyze the current system architecture and business requirements. This is followed by 'Assignment,' where a dedicated team and project manager are assigned to the account. During the 'Planning' phase, an efficient solution is designed to map the business logic onto the keylight platform. The 'Kickoff' phase provides the customer with access to a dedicated sandbox environment to test configurations. 'Collaboration' involves continuous communication to refine platform settings, leading to the 'Go-Live' where onboarding training is provided to ensure a smooth transition to production. Finally, the 'Engagement' phase offers ongoing support and a regular product feedback cycle to ensure long-term success.
keylight offers extensive customization capabilities through its headless architecture and the integrated App Builder. Users can create fully custom frontend experiences or use keylight’s pre-built applications and then tailor them to their specific brand and workflow requirements. Every process within keylight can be orchestrated via its comprehensive REST and GraphQL APIs, allowing businesses to build their own applications on top of the keylight backend. The App Builder tool allows for the configuration of customer and partner portals with custom data sets, visual tools, and specific user group permissions. This level of flexibility ensures that businesses do not have to change their product or pricing structures to fit the platform; instead, the platform adapts to the business's unique rules and conditions.
keylight maintains a transparent pricing structure with a 'Full-Access' model that includes all features within the core subscription. However, businesses may encounter additional costs related to professional services for specialized implementation and data migration beyond the initial complimentary hours. While keylight provides free service hours for data migration (scaled to business size), complex migrations from highly customized legacy systems might require additional professional service engagement. There are no hidden fees for add-ons, volume restrictions, or 'padlocked' features. Maintenance and regular updates are typically included in the subscription fee, ensuring that the total cost of ownership remains predictable as the business scales.
keylight provides a comprehensive training ecosystem to ensure that all user groups—from sales reps to finance managers—can effectively use the platform. Onboarding begins with specialized training sessions conducted by the keylight team during the final stages of implementation. The company offers a mix of in-person training, live online sessions, and extensive documentation. Users have access to 'Guides' and 'Blog' resources that offer tactical advice on subscription strategy. For more technical teams, keylight provides detailed API documentation and developer tools to facilitate custom application building. Ongoing support and regular feedback cycles further ensure that teams are kept up to date with new features and best practices.
Security is a core pillar of the keylight platform, which holds multiple high-level certifications to protect sensitive customer data. The platform is ISO 27001 certified, demonstrating a commitment to international standards for information security management systems (ISMS). It is also certified under ISO 9001 for quality management. For financial security, keylight is PCI DSS compliant, ensuring that all card transactions and payment data are handled securely. The platform uses modern encryption standards for data at rest and in transit and employs robust user access controls and audit trails to monitor all system activity. These measures ensure that enterprises can trust keylight with their most critical financial and customer information.
keylight follows a modern software delivery model with frequent updates and a continuous product feedback cycle. Because the platform is cloud-native and built on MACH principles, updates are deployed seamlessly without the need for manual intervention from the customer. The company maintains a regular cadence of feature releases, often driven by the direct feedback collected during the 'Engagement' phase of the customer relationship. Users are typically notified of major new features and improvements through the platform interface and regular communication from their account teams. This agile approach ensures that keylight customers always have access to the latest innovations in subscription technology and security enhancements.
Under keylight’s terms of service, customers retain full ownership of their data. The platform is designed to be highly portable, allowing businesses to export their data at any time. keylight’s API-first approach (REST and GraphQL) provides businesses with the technical tools to pull data from the system for use in other applications, such as Business Intelligence (BI) platforms or data warehouses. This ensures that businesses are never 'locked in' by their data and can maintain a flexible IT architecture. Furthermore, the platform's Data Processing Agreement (DPA) provides comprehensive details on how data is handled and protected in alignment with legal standards like the GDPR.
keylight is engineered to scale alongside businesses as they grow from startups to global enterprises. Its MACH architecture—specifically the cloud-native and microservices components—ensures that the system can handle increasing volumes of transactions and users without performance degradation. There are no volume restrictions on features, allowing businesses to experiment with new markets and revenue streams freely. keylight’s multi-entity support is a key feature for scaling, as it allows organizations to add new subsidiaries, subsidiaries, and international locations within the same unified platform. The rule-based engine and event-driven architecture are designed to handle the complexity that comes with a larger, more diverse customer base and more intricate product portfolios.
The use of the keylight platform is governed by a Master Services Agreement (MSA) which defines the rights and responsibilities of both keylight and the customer. The MSA typically covers service availability (SLA), data protection responsibilities, and the term of the subscription. keylight aims for long-term partnerships rather than transactional relationships, and this is reflected in their collaborative approach to contract renewals and service evolution. For customers with specific legal or compliance requirements, keylight provides a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) that outlines their adherence to GDPR and other regulatory standards. The contract structure is designed to be transparent, with no hidden costs for feature usage.
keylight is a highly compliant platform, meeting the rigorous standards required by global enterprises. The platform is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ensuring the privacy and protection of personal data for EU residents. It holds ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications, which are audited periodically to ensure continued adherence to information security and quality management standards. For companies handling payments, keylight is PCI DSS compliant, which is essential for secure credit card processing. These certifications make keylight a suitable choice for regulated industries such as Financial Services and Healthcare, where data integrity and regulatory adherence are non-negotiable.
