Fondo
بواسطة BloomJoy, Inc. dba Fondo
Fondo is a startup‑focused, cloud‑based accounting and tax‑management platform (software category: Accounting Software / Bookkeeping Software / Tax Compliance Software) used to automate bookkeeping, file corporate taxes, and maximize tax credits for early‑stage and high‑growth companies.
You begin by telling Fondo about your startup—your entity type, stage, and accounting/tax needs. This allows the platform to determine the right service level.
Fondo automatically generates a pricing quote tailored to your startup’s profile, so you know the cost before onboarding moves forward.
You link your bank accounts and any relevant financial tools so Fondo can begin automated bookkeeping. This enables the software to import transactions and prepare financial data.
Fondo assigns a CPA‑led team that handles your bookkeeping, tax preparation, and tax credit work. This team becomes your ongoing financial partner.
Once accounts are connected, Fondo starts producing monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements, depending on your selected plan.
Your CPA team handles Delaware Franchise Tax, federal/state corporate tax filings, and eligible tax credits such as the R&D credit.
Based on the structure of the workflow, the implementation is effectively near‑instant to a few days, depending on how quickly the founder provides information and connects their accounts.
Fondo supports multiple layers of customization, confirmed by independent software reviews. While Fondo is primarily an out‑of‑the‑box accounting platform designed for standardization, it does allow customizations in several key areas.
Users can customize their chart of accounts to match their business structure or reporting needs.
Fondo allows businesses to create tailored reports and dashboards, enabling tracking of unique KPIs or metrics.
The platform supports custom configuration of integrations with business tools and bank accounts.
Businesses can adjust tax settings to align with their entity type, location, and compliance requirements.
You can define custom access levels for different team members, tailoring controls to your organization’s workflows.
Financial reporting can be customized to run monthly, quarterly, or annually, depending on business preference.
Fondo supports custom reports for campaign results, channel performance, and additional business analytics, which extend beyond traditional financials.
Fondo’s publicly available pricing information does NOT list any setup fees, maintenance fees, or extra support charges beyond the monthly subscription.
Fondo’s Starter plan begins at $599 per month and includes a dedicated accountant, Slack support, and monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.
Corporate tax filing (TaxPass) is priced from $950 per year.
No source mentions any implementation or setup cost. Fondo markets a simple “connect and go” process with no extra onboarding charges.
Support (including Slack access and CPA support) is included in paid plans, with no additional fees mentioned.
Fondo offers several forms of support, though no formal training program or structured onboarding course is mentioned.
Each customer receives a dedicated accountant who manages their books and answers questions—this functions as hands‑on support and guidance.
Paid plans include Slack-based support, allowing founders to communicate directly with their accounting team.
Fondo provides guides, documentation, and blog resources to help founders understand tax filings, credits, and deadlines.
Email support is listed as one of the support channels offered.
User reviews describe Fondo as highly responsive and helpful during onboarding.
SoftwareSuggest (the most detailed public listing for Fondo pricing) states that the Starter plan allows users to “Cancel or upgrade at any time.”
This implies:
There is no mention of termination penalties, early cancellation fees, or minimum commitment requirements on any official or third‑party page.
Support (Slack + dedicated accountant) is included in the subscription and not tied to separate renewal rules.
