LINQ Services is a Baltimore-based managed mobility provider that has spent nearly two decades refining the way enterprises handle telecommunications. Founded in 2005, the company has grown from a specialized consulting firm into a major player in the Wireless Expense Management (WEM) and Managed Mobility Services (MMS) space. They manage over $1 billion in mobile spend for a diverse clientele ranging from heavy construction to retail and professional services. Their core philosophy is 'High-Touch, High-Tech,' combining a sophisticated proprietary portal (Qonnect) with a robust U.S.-based support team that prioritizes human interaction over automated systems.
LINQ Services was founded in 2005 by Kevin Lowe, who currently serves as the CEO. The company originated in Maryland with a vision to simplify the increasingly complex world of corporate cellular accounts. At the time of its founding, the mobile landscape was shifting toward smartphones and data-heavy plans, leaving enterprises with fragmented bills and unmanaged hardware. Lowe's background in service-oriented leadership led to the creation of the '3-Ring' customer service policy, which became a foundational pillar of the company's culture. Over the years, the company transitioned from a service-heavy agency to a technology-enabled platform with the launch and continuous evolution of the Qonnect portal.
LINQ Services has historically operated as a high-growth, stable enterprise with a focus on sustainable revenue. Unlike many modern SaaS companies that rely on venture capital, LINQ has maintained a strong, bootstrapped trajectory for much of its history, reaching significant revenue milestones—estimated between $50M and $75M—through organic growth and client retention. While the company has explored strategic financing to accelerate its technological development, it remains privately held, allowing it to maintain its commitment to 'Human Customer Care' without the pressure of quarterly investor-driven pivots.
The primary offering is the LINQ Qonnect platform, which is available in various service levels. Core offerings include Wireless Expense Management (WEM), which focuses on auditing and bill consolidation; Managed Mobility Services (MMS), which covers the full hardware lifecycle; and specialized consulting for MDM (Mobile Device Management) implementation. They also offer unique 'Upfront Savings' programs where they manage the transition and optimization of carrier plans to find immediate budget relief for clients. Their service covers all major mobile assets including smartphones, tablets, MiFis, and even niche products like Starlink and satellite phone services.
While deeply rooted in the United States with its headquarters in Baltimore (Elkridge), LINQ has expanded its operational footprint to manage mobile assets globally for its U.S.-based enterprise clients. They have developed a strong presence in the construction and machinery verticals, partnering with massive organizations like Caterpillar dealers, John Deere, and major construction firms like Hensel Phelps. Their geographic expansion is primarily driven by their clients' international operations, ensuring that global roaming and international data plans are optimized for employees working outside the U.S.
Recent developments in the LINQ Qonnect portal have focused on deeper AI-driven analytics and enhanced self-service capabilities. New features include advanced predictive usage alerts that use machine learning to identify data spikes before they result in overages. The portal has also recently added expanded integration capabilities for HRIS and accounting systems, allowing for automated GL (General Ledger) coding of telecom expenses. In the last 18 months, they have also enhanced their 'Executive Dashboard' with new visualization tools that allow finance leaders to see mobile spend by department and project in real-time.
The culture at LINQ is built on the concept of 'hospitality for cellular support.' This is embodied in their '3-Ring' policy and a heavy emphasis on personal accountability. The executive team, led by CEO Kevin Lowe and Chief Client Officer Megan Turincs, promotes an environment of focus, collaboration, and speed. They have a strong tradition of community engagement, with quarterly 'goodwill' events such as stair climbing for lung cancer or cooking for the homeless. This 'Life at LINQ' philosophy extends to their client relationships, where employees are encouraged to act as true partners rather than just vendors.
LINQ fosters a tight-knit community of IT and finance professionals through regular webinars, a dedicated blog on telecom trends, and a comprehensive FAQs/Knowledge Center. They maintain an active presence at major industry conferences related to enterprise mobility and technology management. Their client portal also serves as a community hub where users can share feedback, request new features, and access best practices for mobile fleet management. Their strong ratings on platforms like Capterra and GetApp reflect a highly engaged user base that values the personalized nature of their service.
