Getscreen.me is structured to minimize additional costs, with no setup fees or mandatory installation charges for standard cloud plans—users can sign up and start using the platform almost instantly without extra deployment expenses. Maintenance and software updates are included as part of the SaaS subscription or one-time Lifetime Personal License at no additional cost, and users benefit from automatic improvements and security patches as part of the hosted service. Technical support is available for all paid plans (as well as to some extent for free users), with no separate support contract or hourly charge commonly required—support is included in the standard subscription and lifetime fees, and user reviews highlight the responsiveness of the support team. There are no hidden costs for using native integrations, API access comes with business and higher-tier plans, and users are not charged for sessions or bandwidth beyond their device or user limit according to plan. For advanced enterprise needs, such as self-hosted deployment, there may be negotiated custom pricing, but the vast majority of users pay only their recurring subscription, device, or lifetime license fee with no surprise add-ons.

Getscreen.me follows a quarterly release cadence for major feature updates, enhancements, and improvements, though additional bug fixes and minor usability changes may be deployed more frequently. Recent updates were published at the end of each quarter, including new features in Q2 2025 (such as Terminal Mode, adaptive performance tuning, and React UI upgrades) and upgraded agents in Q3 2024, with each update adjusting both agent software and the web/dashboard platform.
Major updates are typically released on a quarterly basis, often at the end of Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 each year. These updates introduce new features and notable security enhancements.
Minor patches and bug fixes occur more frequently as needs arise, especially in response to user feedback and testing.
For the desktop agent component, critical updates may require manual installation for security reasons. Users must sometimes manually download the latest agent via the web panel or website, though automatic updates can be enabled depending on the deployment and organization settings. Some features, like the newest agent releases, are first rolled out for Windows and later for Mac and Linux.
Web-based features and dashboard/interface improvements are automatically applied, so users accessing the system via browser will always use the latest functionality without manual intervention.
Users can set notification preferences (email, Telegram, or push notification) to be informed when new versions or important changes are deployed.
Getscreen.me's policy on data ownership and portability prioritizes user control, compliance with privacy regulations, and the ability for users to manage or export their data as needed. Users remain the owners of their personal and operational data they input or transfer during sessions, while Getscreen.me acts as the data processor and controller strictly for the operation and security of the service.
Data inputted, transferred, or managed within Getscreen.me sessions remains the property of the user or their organization.
Getscreen.me collects only necessary personal and usage data for the purposes of service delivery, analytics, or legal compliance, in accordance with applicable privacy laws (including GDPR for EU/EEA users).
Data is never sold to third parties or used for purposes outside the core functionality of the platform.
Users are responsible for securing third-party data they access or transfer using the platform and must have appropriate consent to do so.
Users can request detailed information about the data collected and processed, and they may export or retrieve their data through built-in dashboard tools or by formal request to the Getscreen.me data controller.
File transfer features allow direct movement of files and data between connected devices, supporting user-driven data portability.
Getscreen.me is committed to honoring "right to access", "right to be forgotten", and "right to data portability" requests in accordance with global privacy standards. Users may contact the data controller at any time for export, deletion, or clarification regarding personal data.
Getscreen.me provides highly flexible terms for scaling up or down, allowing organizations to adjust their subscription resources—such as operator seats, devices, and feature sets—as business needs change. Below are the main elements and mechanisms supporting scalability:
Organizations can upgrade to a higher-tier plan or increase resource limits (seats, devices, API access, features) at any time directly through their account portal: Account → Rate Plan → Subscription → Change the Service Plan.
The new service limits and features become available immediately or at the start of the next billing cycle, depending on the change.
Additional options are available for custom scaling, including self-hosted deployments for organizations requiring dedicated infrastructure or advanced privacy controls.
Downgrading a plan or reducing resources—such as moving from a Business to a Free plan, or removing operator seats or devices—can be done at any time using the same dashboard controls.
Downgrades are effective at the next renewal or the end of the current paid term; earlier switches to the Free plan may prompt immediate restrictions to resources/features above free thresholds.
Archived (legacy) plans may require full cancellation before switching plans—users then select from currently available offers.
As of early 2025, Getscreen.me features "pay-for-what-you-use" pricing: organizations customize subscriptions by choosing only the number of operators, devices, and features they need, which encourages efficient scaling without overpaying for unused resources.
Free and trial plans allow organizations to test features and scale up gradually; unused or excessive features can be removed with adjustments at any time.
Getscreen.me’s terms and conditions for contract renewal and cancellation are clearly defined, supporting both fixed-term and automatically renewing subscriptions, alongside statutory withdrawal rights and a money-back guarantee for eligible users. Here are the primary data points relevant to these processes:
Subscriptions are generally renewed automatically through the payment method on file unless you cancel within the deadline specified in the terms.
Users receive advance notice ahead of renewal, including instructions and procedures for opting out of automatic renewal.
Upon renewal, the new term matches the original subscription length unless otherwise specified.
Users can terminate a recurring subscription at any time by giving a clear, unambiguous notice to Getscreen.me using the provided contact methods or through the dashboard controls.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid subscription period; early termination does not lead to a prorated refund for the unused portion.
If your cancellation notice is received before the renewal date, your subscription will be terminated at the end of the then-current term and not renewed.
Deleting your account in account settings cancels any active paid plans and prompts for password confirmation.
European consumers have the right to withdraw from an online contract within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason, in line with EU "distance contract" regulations.
Getscreen.me offers a money-back guarantee on services within 15 days of contract initiation; users must send an unambiguous notice, and refunds are issued via the original payment method.
Withdrawal is exercised by submitting a clear written statement before the statutory or guarantee period expires.
Fixed-term subscriptions cannot be terminated before maturity and simply expire at the end of their term unless renewed.
Getscreen.me reserves the right to suspend, delete, or refuse accounts violating terms and may interrupt, suspend, or terminate services for maintenance or exceptional circumstances, with user cooperation for data withdrawal where required by law.
Getscreen.me meets several key compliance standards that are relevant for business and enterprise deployments, especially regarding data privacy and security. Its operations and technical safeguards are designed to conform to widely accepted frameworks and regulatory requirements.
GDPR: Getscreen.me is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679), ensuring lawful, fair, and transparent processing of personal data for EU and EEA users. Users have the right to access, export, or delete their data, in line with GDPR requirements.
Healthcare Compliance: Getscreen.me highlights its suitability for regulated sectors such as healthcare, where the software supports workflows aligned with healthcare data protection expectations and standards.
Data Processing Standards: Data is encrypted in transit using AES-128 (within WebRTC and SSL) and maintained according to strict processing, retention, and access control procedures, minimizing unauthorized access risk.
Access Controls: User- and group-based access settings, multi-factor authentication, IP whitelisting, Single Sign-On, and recording of connection histories are provided to help meet security and compliance auditing requirements.
Self-Hosted Option: Organizations with strict compliance needs (e.g., financial services, government, or privacy-sensitive sectors) may deploy self-hosted instances, granting complete infrastructure and data control in compliance with local or industry requirements.
Regular Auditing: Getscreen.me maintains audit logs and monitoring to support internal compliance, company policies, and regulatory needs. Logs can be used to demonstrate compliance during audits.
