cPanel & WHM
بواسطة WebPros International L.L.C
Industry Standard & Familiarity: The most common praise is its ubiquity. Most web professionals already know how to use it, which reduces the learning curve for new employees and clients. It is described as "stable," "proven," and "the bar by which all others are measured."
One-Click Automation: Users rave about the WP Toolkit and Softaculous integrations. Being able to install, clone, and stage WordPress sites or manage SSL certificates (via AutoSSL) with one click is a major efficiency booster.
Comprehensive Feature Set: Reviewers value having everything in one place—DNS management, email account setup, file management, and database administration. The built-in Terminal and File Manager are frequently cited as "lifesavers" for quick fixes without needing an external FTP client.
Robust Security: The integration of tools like Imunify360, ModSecurity, and two-factor authentication (2FA) gives administrators peace of mind regarding server hardening.
Resource Heavy: Technical reviews often note that cPanel is "heavy" on server resources (RAM/CPU). It is not recommended for very small, low-powered VPS instances where lightweight alternatives like DirectAdmin or CyberPanel might perform better.
Steep Learning Curve for WHM: While the user-side cPanel is intuitive, the administrative WHM side is described as intimidating for beginners. Finding specific server-level settings can involve digging through deep menus, which some find "overwhelming."
Vendor Lock-In: Because moving hundreds of accounts to a different control panel is a complex and risky technical task, many users feel "trapped" into paying the annual price increases because the "migration headache" is too high.
