Workday Adaptive Planning
بواسطة Workday, Inc.

Originally known as Adaptive Insights, Workday Adaptive Planning is a cloud-based Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform headquartered in Palo Alto, CA. It empowers finance, workforce, sales, and operational teams to collaboratively plan, budget, forecast, and report in real time. The platform leverages powerful features like driver-based modeling, scenario planning, AI-powered insights, and seamless data integrations.
Founded in 2003 by Richard L. Dellinger and Robert S. Hull, the company swiftly positioned itself as an agile alternative to legacy financial planning tools. Over time, Adaptive Insights expanded its reach beyond finance into workforce and operational planning, rapidly building a customer base spanning mid-market firms to large enterprises.
Adaptive Insights secured approximately $176–183 million in funding across multiple rounds up to Series G (June 2015) supported by investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Norwest, JMI Management, HarbourVest, and Norwest. In June 2018, Workday acquired Adaptive Insights for $1.55 billion, marking a major valuation milestone.
Integrated into Workday’s EPM suite, Adaptive Planning offers a wide range of functionality, including financial forecasting, budgeting, workforce and sales planning, scenario and driver-based modeling, automated consolidation, real-time dashboards, and AI-driven analytics via Workday Illuminate™.
Adaptive Insights was acquired by Workday in 2018 to strengthen Workday's planning and analytics capabilities. Following the acquisition, Workday has incorporated additional strategic tools—including Stories.bi for augmented analytics and Peakon for employee engagement—enhancing its financial planning, analytics, and workforce insights.
