Vertuoza
بواسطة SRL Vertuoza
Vertuoza is a leading European construction technology company headquartered in Nivelles, Belgium. Founded with the mission to digitalize the highly traditional construction sector, Vertuoza provides a comprehensive SaaS platform that serves as an operating system for construction SMEs. The company distinguishes itself through its deep domain expertise; its founders previously managed successful construction firms before transitioning into software development. This heritage has allowed Vertuoza to build a product that is not only functionally rich but also highly intuitive for non-technical users in the field. Since its inception, the company has experienced explosive growth, tripling its annual recurring revenue (ARR) in its early years and expanding its footprint across Belgium, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. The company is widely recognized for its contribution to the sector, having managed hundreds of thousands of construction sites through its platform. By focusing on the 'human element' and providing extensive support alongside its technology, Vertuoza has positioned itself as more than just a software vendor, but as a strategic partner for the digital transformation of the European building industry.
The founding story of Vertuoza is rooted in the real-world experience of its CVO, Antoni Di Filippo. Antoni began his career in the construction industry at the age of 19, purchasing and renovating his first house. Over the next 15 years, he built a construction company that employed over 100 people and generated €12 million in annual revenue. Recognizing the severe lack of adequate management tools for construction, Antoni collaborated with lead developer Kevin Vermeulen starting in 2015 to build a custom internal tool to manage his own firm's growth. After five years of internal refinement, Antoni sold his construction business to focus entirely on bringing this solution to the market. He partnered with Dominique Pellegrino (CEO), whose background in business development and leadership complemented Antoni's construction expertise. The company was officially launched as Vertuoza in January 2020. This combination of deep field experience and strategic leadership enabled the startup to achieve 'product-market fit' almost instantly, scaling from three founders to over 120 employees in just a few years.
Vertuoza has successfully completed multiple investment rounds to fuel its rapid expansion and technological innovation. In July 2021, the company secured a €1.2 million Seed round to establish its market presence in Belgium. This was followed by a significant Pre-Series A round in October 2022, where it raised €4 million. This round was led by the French venture capital firm XAnge, with participation from the Belgian-Dutch fund Fortino Capital and Resonance. These funds were strategically allocated toward international recruitment and entering the French and Swiss markets. By 2025, reports indicated that the company's total funding had surpassed €11 million, with a valuation estimated at approximately €70 million. Notable angel investors, including Thibaud Elziere, have also participated in supporting the company's vision. The steady infusion of capital from top-tier European investors reflects Vertuoza's strong financial performance, high retention rates, and the massive untapped potential within the construction digitalization market.
Vertuoza offers a modular software ecosystem that is categorized into four primary service packs: Pro, Evolution, Expert, and Excellence. The 'Pro' offering serves as a high-performance administrative starter kit, focusing on professional quote generation and basic CRM. 'Evolution' expands into the operational realm, providing the critical planning and scheduling tools needed to coordinate teams and sites in real-time. The 'Expert' pack is the company's most popular offering, designed for businesses looking to maximize profitability; it includes advanced features like accounting synchronization, intervention management, and labor cost tracking. Finally, the 'Excellence' tier provides a 360-degree view of the business, including inventory management and advanced data analytics. Beyond these standard packs, Vertuoza offers 'VertuoWork,' a unique marketplace integration that allows contractors to find and collaborate with vetted subcontractors. The platform's flexibility allows it to serve various trades including general construction, roofing, landscaping, electrical, and HVAC, providing industry-specific price libraries and document templates for each.
Headquartered in the heart of Wallonia in Nivelles, Vertuoza began its journey by dominating the Belgian market before embarking on an aggressive internationalization strategy. The company initially targeted neighboring French-speaking regions, successfully establishing a strong presence in France, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. Following its 2022 funding round, the company accelerated its entry into the Dutch market, localizing the platform in Dutch and establishing regional sales and support operations. As of 2025, the company operates in five European countries and supports over 5,000 active professional users. Their expansion strategy is characterized by a high-touch approach; rather than just selling software, they enter new markets by building local communities of construction professionals and integrating with local banking and accounting ecosystems. This focus on regional compliance (e.g., Peppol for EU e-invoicing) and localized trade standards has allowed them to compete effectively against larger, more generic global competitors who lack specific European market nuances.
In the last 18 months, Vertuoza has focused heavily on integrating advanced automation and artificial intelligence into its workflow. The standout feature release is 'VertuoAI,' a generative AI assistant that significantly reduces field-to-office lag. It allows contractors on-site to record voice memos that are automatically transcribed and formatted into structured site reports or additional work orders (addendums). Another major innovation is the integration of real-time weather data into the production schedule; the system can now automatically flag potential delays for weather-sensitive tasks, such as exterior painting or roofing, allowing managers to reschedule teams proactively. The 'VertuoWork' marketplace has also seen significant upgrades, becoming a fully integrated platform where users can post project needs and receive bids from vetted subcontractors within the Vertuoza ecosystem. Additionally, the company has enhanced its financial suite with deeper banking integrations through the Ponto and Codabox protocols, allowing for near real-time reconciliation of client payments and supplier invoices.
The culture at Vertuoza, often referred to as the 'Vertuospirit,' is built on ten core pillars that prioritize humility, speed of execution, and collective success. The company operates out of 'Vertuohome,' a modern 500m² facility in Nivelles designed to promote collaboration and well-being. Despite its rapid growth to over 120 employees, the company maintains a flat hierarchy and an entrepreneurial mindset. One of their defining values is 'Get Things Done,' emphasizing energy and accountability in every task. They also heavily promote the concept of the 'Internal Customer,' ensuring that different departments support each other with the same vigor they support their external users. The work environment is hybrid, supporting remote work while maintaining a strong central hub for team building. This culture of 'benevolence and loyalty' has been a key factor in their recruitment success, attracting top talent from both the construction and tech sectors who are motivated by the mission to revolutionize an entire industry.
Vertuoza has fostered a vibrant and exponentially growing community of construction professionals who are collectively redefining industry standards. This ecosystem is anchored by the 'VertuoWork' marketplace, which acts as a private social and professional network for contractors, architects, and subcontractors to connect and trade projects. Beyond the software interface, the company hosts regular webinars, training sessions, and networking events to help SMEs share best practices in management and digitalization. Their online presence is robust, featuring extensive instructional content on platforms like YouTube and Instagram that go beyond software tutorials to offer general business advice for contractors. The 'Vertuoza Academy' provides formal certification and training resources to ensure users can fully leverage the platform's capabilities. By positioning itself as the 'Expert Construction' partner, Vertuoza has built a loyal user base that actively contributes to the product's roadmap through feedback forums, ensuring the platform evolves in lockstep with the actual needs of the building sector.
