Valsight
بواسطة Valsight GmbH
Valsight typical implementation process:
Requirements assessment: The process begins with a requirements workshop where project objectives, planning scope, and stakeholder needs are clarified to ensure alignment on model focus and KPIs.
Solution configuration: The Valsight team configures the platform, builds value driver models, and integrates with data sources, ensuring correct connections to existing ERP, Excel, or database systems.
User training: Target users receive hands-on training in model creation, simulation, and visualization to foster rapid adoption and independent usage of the software.
Data migration: Historical and planning data are imported, validated, and mapped to ensure accuracy in calculations and reporting.
Pilot phase: A pilot model is run with real data to verify functionality and capture stakeholder feedback before broader rollout.
Valsight can be tailored extensively at the model, process, and presentation layers to fit specific business needs, while keeping the core product standardized for fast rollout and maintainability.
At the business logic layer, teams can design bespoke value driver trees that mirror their operating model, freely adjusting drivers, KPIs, plan dimensions, and calculation logic without code to align with industry- or company‑specific structures such as products, regions, channels, and initiatives. Scenario design is fully flexible: users can define custom assumptions, create multiple scenarios, and perform ad‑hoc base changes to rapidly test new requirements as conditions shift, preserving explainability of cause-and-effect relationships for governance and auditability. As a simulation module alongside existing systems, Valsight plugs into current control processes and allows targeted customization of scope per use case—e.g., forecasting, sensitivity analysis, capex cases, or strategic initiatives—while reusing shared data and logic assets across teams.
Configuration options are rich and admin‑friendly. Global appearance and access can be tailored through role settings and SSO text customization, including the login page image, message, and SAML/OIDC button labels to match enterprise standards and communication policies. Business-facing customizations include editable chart color palettes to match corporate CI, presentation branding with logo and footers, number styles for negatives and scale notation, custom units, custom impact columns in the scenario manager, and flags/dropdowns for assumptions such as status or owner to support workflow and governance. These options let organizations standardize look‑and‑feel and metadata patterns across models and decks without custom code, ensuring consistency in board materials and analytics assets.
Valsight offers structured, hands-on enablement that combines guided onboarding, formal training resources, and responsive support to get finance and strategy teams productive quickly. During implementation, consultants co-build initial simulation models with the customer and provide targeted training so users can operate independently post‑go‑live, with the process often validated via a one‑to‑three‑month paid proof of concept before seamless transition to live use. Core enablement focuses on modeling value‑driver trees, scenario simulation, and visualization workflows in a no‑code environment, ensuring teams can adapt models, import data, and present explainable results without reliance on IT or external developers.
For ongoing learning, Valsight maintains product documentation and a dedicated training section with tutorials and FAQs that walk users step‑by‑step through key functions, supporting self‑paced skill development across roles from modelers to executives consuming results. Public listings also indicate multiple training modalities—such as live online sessions, in‑person workshops, webinars, documentation, and videos—so organizations can choose formats that fit rollout scope and team size, from small pilots to enterprise scale. This blended approach is designed to accelerate time‑to‑value while embedding best practices in driver‑based planning, with training aligned to the customer’s specific use cases gathered during the requirements phase.
Valsight implements a comprehensive set of security measures designed to protect customer data and uphold enterprise compliance standards. The platform is certified and operates as a secure SaaS solution, which includes role-based access controls to ensure that only authorized users can view, modify, or simulate sensitive financial models and data. Single sign-on (SSO) with SAML or OIDC integration is supported, allowing organizations to enforce centralized authentication and corporate identity management for user accounts.
Data is protected through encrypted data transmission protocols and secure storage methodologies, ensuring information remains confidential both in transit and at rest. Administrative features allow fine-grained control over permissions and audit trails, which monitors who accesses data and what changes are made, maintaining accountability for all simulation and planning activities. Valsight’s infrastructure also undergoes regular certification and compliance checks, targeting standards suitable for large enterprises and regulated sectors.
Valsight releases platform updates on a regular basis, typically aligned with industry standards for SaaS solutions serving enterprise customers. Updates are managed centrally by Valsight as part of their cloud delivery model, which ensures that all customers benefit from new features, security improvements, and bug fixes without having to coordinate local installations or manual upgrades. The management process is designed for minimal disruption: updates are rolled out transparently and automatically in the background, so users always have access to the latest capabilities without downtime or intervention. Valsight also provides customers with documentation and release notes summarizing the scope and impact of each update, allowing organizations to track changes and leverage enhancements immediately. This release cadence and managed update approach help maintain high product reliability, security, and user experience across all deployments.
Valsight’s policies on data ownership and portability are aligned with industry best practices for enterprise SaaS platforms, ensuring that clients retain full ownership and control of their business data throughout their engagement with the software. As a European provider, Valsight is committed to compliance with GDPR and other data protection regulations, which underscores the principle that all customer data input, generated, or managed within the platform remains the property of the customer. Clients have the right to export their data at any time, facilitated by built-in features for extracting information in commonly used formats such as Excel, CSV, or via database connectors, ensuring smooth portability for reporting, analysis, or migration purposes.
The platform architecture supports flexible import and export routines, allowing organizations to move data between Valsight and other planning, analytics, or ERP systems without technical restrictions. This design helps businesses avoid vendor lock-in, preserves transparency in simulation and modeling processes, and enables rapid data retrieval in line with changing operational requirements or compliance demands. In summary, Valsight empowers customers to control, access, and port their data as needed, maintaining clear contractual boundaries around data ownership and supporting organizational agility in planning and reporting.
Valsight’s contract renewal and cancellation terms align with typical enterprise SaaS practices, providing clarity and flexibility for customers. Contracts are generally established on a subscription basis, with stated renewal periods—often annual—built into the agreement. Renewal is typically managed automatically unless the customer provides notice of termination within a specified advance period, which is usually outlined in the contract and aims to give both parties sufficient time for planning transitions or adjustments.
Cancellation policies include the right for clients to terminate at the end of a subscription term, commonly requiring written notice—often 30 to 90 days prior to renewal—to avoid automatic continuation of services. Upon cancellation, customers retain the ability to export their business data, ensuring portability and compliance with data ownership principles. Early termination clauses may exist for situations such as breach of contract, but the specifics—including any associated fees—are customarily clarified during negotiation. Valsight’s approach is consistent with standard SaaS market norms, emphasizing transparent notice periods and preserving customer control over data and continued service usage until the official contract closure.
Valsight software adheres to rigorous compliance standards suited for enterprise and regulated industry requirements. As a European company, it operates with full alignment to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), ensuring user data privacy, control, and proper consent across all aspects of its cloud platform. The platform is described as “secure and certified,” indicating that Valsight undergoes regular audits and certification processes to meet industry-recognized benchmarks for SaaS security and data management.
Beyond GDPR, Valsight’s architecture supports role-based access controls, single sign-on integration, encrypted data transmission, and comprehensive audit trails, all vital for meeting requirements in financial, healthcare, and public sector environments. These measures are consistent with broader European compliance frameworks and best practices for data residency, retention, and ownership. Valsight is suitable for deployment by large enterprises and organizations needing robust compliance guarantees for sensitive business modeling and simulation use cases.
