The implementation process for tebio is designed to be as fast as possible, depending on the chosen approach. For businesses using the 'No-Code' solution, onboarding can happen in a matter of days; users simply set up their payment methods, define their products in the portal, and publish their hosted order pages.
For companies requiring deep API integration, the process typically follows a structured journey: initial technical consultation, sandbox environment setup for testing API calls and webhooks, and finally, a production go-live. tebio provides extensive documentation and a dedicated developer section to facilitate this process, ensuring that the transition from legacy systems to automated billing is smooth and well-documented.
tebio offers extensive customization capabilities to ensure the platform aligns with a company's brand identity. Through the Business Portal, users can customize hosted order pages, customer self-care portals, and sales partner dashboards with their own logos, colors, and layouts. Communication templates, including emails and PDF invoices, can be fully tailored using HTML/CSS to maintain a consistent brand experience. On the functional side, the platform’s 'Properties' and 'Price and Payments' sections allow for granular configuration of subscription logic, enabling businesses to create highly specific product attributes, tiered pricing structures, and unique discount rules that fit their exact business model.
Transparency is a key tenet of tebio's pricing. Beyond the base subscription fee of €29/month for the Regular Plan, additional costs may arise depending on the use of advanced modules such as 'Sales-Partner' management or 'KYC' identity verification.
These are often quoted as part of an Enterprise package. While there are no hidden licensing fees for individual users or screens, businesses should account for standard transaction fees from payment providers (like Stripe or PayPal), which are integrated into the platform. tebio does not charge extra for standard updates or feature releases, ensuring a predictable cost of ownership as the business scales its subscription volume.
tebio provides a comprehensive training ecosystem to ensure users can maximize the platform’s potential. This begins with a 'First Steps' guide and detailed documentation for both the Business Portal and the API. For Enterprise customers, tebio often provides personalized onboarding sessions and demos to walk through complex configurations like multi-level commission models. The developer portal includes code examples and a playground environment for testing integrations. Ongoing support is available via online chat, email, and a German-based phone line, providing direct access to product experts who can assist with both operational questions and technical implementation challenges.
Security is the foundation of the tebio platform. As a German-based provider, tebio is fully GDPR compliant, ensuring that all customer and transactional data is stored and processed according to the highest European privacy standards.
The platform uses industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit and follows rigorous internal access controls (RBAC) to ensure data separation, particularly in its multi-tenant environments. Furthermore, tebio’s infrastructure is inherited from mvneco, which handles enterprise-grade volumes and is built to withstand high loads while maintaining data integrity. Integrated KYC features also provide businesses with the tools to screen and verify customer identities securely within the platform.
tebio follows a continuous improvement and delivery model, with a release cadence that ensures the platform stays current with changing market needs and security requirements. Updates are deployed cloud-natively, meaning users always have access to the latest version (e.g., v1.15.0) without needing manual installations.
The deployment process is designed to be zero-downtime, ensuring that billing operations and customer portals remain active 24/7. Significant new features, such as enhanced API endpoints or new payment integrations, are documented in the developer section and announced via the Business Portal, allowing users to adapt their workflows to take advantage of new capabilities as they are released.
tebio maintains a clear and transparent data ownership policy: the customer always owns their data. In accordance with GDPR, tebio acts as a data processor, while the business remains the data controller. This means businesses have full rights to their customer databases, subscription history, and transactional records.
Exporting data is straightforward and can be accomplished through the financial reporting dashboard or programmatically via the robust REST API. This ensuring data portability and prevents vendor lock-in, allowing companies to integrate their subscription data with external BI tools, accounting software, or CRM systems as their organizational needs evolve.
The tebio platform is architected for extreme scalability. Because it is built on the same core infrastructure as mvneco—which supports over 3 million active users and 1 billion transactions annually—it can effortlessly handle rapid growth in user volume, subscription complexity, and data throughput.
Whether a startup is processing its first ten subscribers or an enterprise is managing millions of recurring transactions across multiple brands, tebio’s cloud infrastructure scales dynamically. The multi-tenancy feature further supports organizational growth by allowing companies to add new business units or international subsidiaries within the same ecosystem while keeping data and reporting logically separated.
tebio's terms and conditions are designed to provide flexibility for growing businesses. For the standard Regular Plan, the platform typically follows a monthly subscription model with no long-term contract lock-in, allowing for easy cancellation or adjustments. Renewal is automated unless the user chooses to terminate the service. Enterprise contracts may include more specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs) regarding uptime and dedicated support response times. The terms also clearly outline the legal framework under German law, providing a high level of protection regarding service availability and data handling. Full details on cancellation periods and renewal terms are provided in the legal notice and privacy policy on the tebio.de website.
Compliance is a primary differentiator for tebio. The platform is built to be 100% GDPR compliant, making it a safe choice for European entities. Beyond data privacy, tebio supports financial compliance through its adherence to international revenue recognition standards such as IFRS 15 and ASC 606. This ensures that recurring revenue is recorded accurately for auditing purposes. The platform also assists with regulatory compliance in high-trust industries through its integrated KYC (Know Your Customer) and document screening modules. By automating these regulatory workflows, tebio helps businesses avoid legal risks and penalties associated with improper data handling or inaccurate financial reporting.
