Statgraphics Centurion
بواسطة Statgraphics Technologies, Inc.
Statgraphics Technologies, Inc. develops the Statgraphics family of analytics products, with Statgraphics Centurion as its flagship Windows desktop application for statistics, visualization, SPC, DOE, forecasting, and (in recent versions) machine learning. The company is privately held and headquartered in The Plains, Virginia (USA). Statgraphics has a long history in PC statistics software and is notable for blending graphics with every statistical procedure and for guidance features (StatWizard™, StatAdvisor™) that make results understandable to non‑statisticians.
The current mainstream release line is Version 19 (with frequent build updates), while Version 20 is in public beta and focuses on additional ML and visualization capabilities. Statgraphics’ distribution model uses a global network of dealers for international sales and support.
Statgraphics’ origins date to 1980, when Dr. Neil W. Polhemus (then at Princeton University) created the software as a teaching tool; it was commercialized in 1982, becoming one of the earliest PC‑based statistics packages. Over the decades, Statgraphics expanded from basic statistics to a broad professional suite encompassing regression/ANOVA, multivariate analysis, SPC, DOE, reliability, forecasting, Monte Carlo simulation, and, more recently, machine learning. The company has kept a focus on a GUI‑first experience that reduces reliance on scripting and emphasizes interpretability.
The firm’s long product lineage (Centurion XVI → XVII → XVIII → XIX → 20 beta) shows iterative growth: expanding procedure counts, modernizing the interface (ribbon UI, dashboards), and progressively integrating with external ecosystems such as R and Python.
Statgraphics Technologies, Inc. is privately held. There are no public disclosures of external venture funding rounds or company valuation in official materials or credible directories. Public profiles (e.g., Wikipedia and corporate listings) consistently describe Statgraphics as a privately held software company without published financing data. Accordingly, funding and valuation should be considered not publicly disclosed.

Statgraphics is used broadly across manufacturing (chemicals, pharma, medical devices, autos, food/CPG), mining & environmental, government/education, and aerospace (NASA)—sectors that value SPC, DOE, and validation‑friendly desktop analytics. The company maintains an active LinkedIn presence and historically a Statgraphics Community on LinkedIn, along with webinars and documentation aimed at practitioner communities. International reach is supported by regional dealers rather than owned offices.
