MedicsPremier provides comprehensive training and support designed to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term success. The training process includes:
Onsite or Remote Training: ADSC’s training department works closely with each client to develop a customized training schedule. Training can be conducted onsite, remotely, or as a hybrid.
Live Demonstrations: ADSC offers personalized product demos to help practices understand how MedicsPremier can be tailored to their workflows.
This multi-tiered training approach ensures that users—from front-desk staff to administrators—can operate the system confidently and efficiently.
MedicsPremier incorporates several robust security features to protect sensitive patient and practice data:
HIPAA-Compliant Encryption: All patient data, especially during claim transmissions, is encrypted in accordance with the latest HIPAA standards.
User-Level Access Control: Security access levels are defined by the Practice Administrator and can range from limited access to full system control.
Entity-Based Data Segregation: Practices with multiple providers or tax IDs can use MedicsPremier’s Entity architecture to securely separate patient data and financials.
These measures ensure that MedicsPremier meets industry standards for data privacy, integrity, and security.
MedicsPremier receives regular updates to ensure compliance, performance enhancements, and feature expansions. These updates include improvements to billing workflows, ICD code management, claim denial handling, and user interface enhancements. ADSC manages updates through its Software Update Agreement, which provides clients with access to the latest versions and features. Clients with active support agreements can also attend free online training sessions to stay informed about new functionalities. Updates are typically deployed either via cloud-hosted systems or manually for on-premise installations, depending on the client’s setup.
MedicsPremier is designed with flexibility in deployment and data control. Practices using the on-premise version retain full control over their data, stored locally on their own servers. For cloud-hosted deployments, ADSC ensures secure access and storage, but the practice remains the owner of its data. While ADSC does not publicly detail its data portability policy, the system includes features like report exports to Excel, integrated document scanning, and real-time claim tracking, which suggest that data can be extracted and transferred if needed. Practices can also manage patient records, billing data, and insurance information independently, supporting portability in case of migration or vendor change.
MedicsPremier is built to scale with the needs of healthcare organizations. It supports multi-provider, multi-location setups through its Entity architecture, allowing practices to add or remove providers, locations, or tax IDs without disrupting operations. Each provider or client can have their own Entity, enabling financial and data segregation. Scaling up involves adding users, modules (like MedicsRx or Medics On-Call), or locations, which can be done without reconfiguring the entire system. Conversely, scaling down is manageable by deactivating users or modules. The system’s modular design and licensing flexibility make it suitable for solo practices, group clinics, and enterprise networks.
MedicsPremier is available in two deployment models: on-premise and cloud-hosted. For cloud-hosted solutions, users typically subscribe everymonth, which implies a flexible contract structure. While ADSC does not publicly disclose detailed cancellation or renewal terms, here are some inferred data points:
Monthly Subscription Model: Cloud-hosted MedicsPremier is billed monthly, which suggests that cancellation may be possible with 30-day notice, depending on the agreement.
Optional Add-Ons: Features like MedicsRx (e-prescribing) and MediCall (automated patient communication) are available as separate purchases, and may have their own licensing terms.
Support Agreements: Clients with active support and update agreements receive ongoing training and software updates. Cancellation of these agreements may affect access to updates and support.
MedicsPremier is built to meet several key healthcare compliance standards, ensuring secure and interoperable operations:
HIPAA Compliance: MedicsPremier adheres to HIPAA regulations for data privacy and security, including encrypted data transmission and user-level access controls.
ICD-10 Support: The platform includes an ICD-10 code converter that maps ICD-9 codes to ICD-10 using intelligent search, ensuring compliance with modern coding standards.
HL7 Integration: MedicsPremier supports HL7 standards for healthcare interoperability, allowing seamless data exchange between systems such as EHRs, labs, and imaging platforms.
API Capabilities: ADSC’s API gateway supports secure data exchange and integration with third-party applications, including patient portals and analytics platforms.
EDI Transactions: The system processes millions of electronic data interchange (EDI) transactions annually, including claims, remittances, and eligibility checks, ensuring compliance with payer requirements.
These standards make MedicsPremier suitable for practices that require secure, compliant, and interoperable systems across various specialties and regions.
