MarginEdge
بواسطة MarginEdge, Co.
The typical implementation process for MarginEdge software is designed to be straightforward and efficient, ensuring that restaurant operators can quickly start benefiting from its features. Here is a step-by-step overview of the process:
Initial Consultation: The process begins with an initial consultation where the MarginEdge team understands the specific needs and goals of the restaurant. This helps tailor the implementation process to the unique requirements of the business.
Account Setup: Next, the MarginEdge team sets up the restaurant's account, including integrating with existing point-of-sale (POS) and accounting systems. This integration ensures seamless data flow between systems.
Training: Comprehensive training sessions are provided to the restaurant staff. These sessions cover all aspects of using MarginEdge, from uploading invoices to generating reports. The training is designed to be user-friendly and accessible.
Data Migration: Existing data, such as historical invoices and inventory records, is migrated into the MarginEdge system. This step ensures continuity and allows the restaurant to start with a complete dataset.
Go-Live: Once the setup and training are complete, the restaurant goes live with MarginEdge. The team provides ongoing support during this phase to address any issues and ensure a smooth transition.
Ongoing Support: After the go-live phase, MarginEdge offers continuous support and updates to ensure the software remains aligned with the restaurant's evolving needs.
The entire implementation process typically takes about 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the restaurant's operations and the level of customization required.
MarginEdge can indeed be tailored to fit specific business needs. Here are some customization options:
Invoice Processing: Restaurants can choose how they want to submit invoices—via photos through the app, emailed files, platform uploads, or EDI integrations.
Reporting: Customizable reports allow restaurants to focus on the metrics that matter most to them, such as specific cost categories or sales data.
Order Guides: Order guides can be customized and organized alphabetically, by category, or by sheet-to-shelf, making it easier to manage orders from vendors.
Price Alerts: Restaurants can set custom price thresholds for key ingredients, receiving alerts when prices exceed these thresholds.
Recipe Management: Recipes can be digitally managed and displayed with customizable yield conversions, photos, and videos.
Multi-Location Management: For restaurants with multiple locations, MarginEdge allows centralized control and consistency across all units.
These customization options ensure that MarginEdge can adapt to the unique operational needs of any restaurant, enhancing efficiency and profitability.
MarginEdge has a straightforward pricing model with a few additional costs. There is a one-time setup fee of $250 per location. This fee covers the initial account activation and preparation for onboarding. Beyond this, there are no hidden fees for maintenance or support, as these are included in the monthly subscription cost.

MarginEdge releases updates regularly to ensure the platform remains efficient and up-to-date with the latest features and improvements. Typically, updates are rolled out quarterly, with detailed release notes provided to inform users about new functionalities and enhancements. These updates are managed seamlessly, with minimal disruption to users, ensuring that the software continues to operate smoothly during the update process.
MarginEdge's policy ensures that customers retain full ownership of their data. Users can export their data at any time, providing flexibility and control over their information. This policy is designed to give restaurant operators peace of mind, knowing that their data is secure and accessible whenever needed.
MarginEdge offers flexible terms to accommodate changing organizational needs. Restaurants can easily add or remove locations from their subscription, with pricing adjusted accordingly. This scalability ensures that the software can grow with the business or adapt to downsizing without any long-term commitments or penalties.
Contract Renewal:
MarginEdge contracts typically renew automatically at the end of each term unless either party provides notice of non-renewal. The notice period for non-renewal is usually specified in the contract, often requiring a 30-day notice before the end of the current term.
Renewal terms may include adjustments to pricing or services, which will be communicated to the customer in advance. Customers have the option to review and agree to these changes before the renewal takes effect.
Cancellation:
Customers can cancel their MarginEdge subscription by providing written notice. The specific notice period required for cancellation is outlined in the contract, commonly 30 days.
If a customer cancels before the end of the current billing cycle, they are typically responsible for the full payment of that cycle. MarginEdge does not usually offer prorated refunds for partial months.
In the event of a breach of contract by either party, the non-breaching party may terminate the agreement immediately upon written notice.
MarginEdge adheres to several key compliance standards to ensure the security and integrity of its platform:
SOC 2 Compliance: MarginEdge's cybersecurity program aligns with SOC 2 standards, which focus on the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of customer data.
PCI DSS Compliance: The platform maintains compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), ensuring secure handling of payment information.

Regular Security Audits: MarginEdge undergoes frequent security reviews and vulnerability assessments by third-party specialists to identify and mitigate potential threats.
Incident Response Plan: The platform has a documented incident response plan and a team of professionals ready to respond to security events.
These compliance measures ensure that MarginEdge provides a secure and reliable environment for managing restaurant operations.
