بواسطة NTT DATA INTRAMART Corporation
NTT DATA INTRAMART Corporation is a specialized software provider and a subsidiary of the global IT powerhouse NTT DATA. Based in Tokyo, Japan, the company has established itself as the dominant force in the Japanese enterprise workflow and BPM market, holding the top market share for over 18 consecutive years. Since its inception, the company has focused on providing a 'Common System Foundation' that enables businesses to build agile, integrated, and future-proof digital environments. With over 10,000 corporate customers and a network of 200+ global system integration partners, NTT DATA INTRAMART has transitioned from a domestic leader to a significant player in the international Digital Transformation (DX) space. Its strategic vision centers on 'Autonomous Intelligence,' where business processes are not just automated but are continuously optimized through the interplay of low-code development, BPM, and advanced AI technologies.
The company was founded on February 22, 2000, as an internal venture spin-off from NTT DATA. Yoshihito Nakayama, the founder and current President and CEO, envisioned a development framework that could significantly reduce the cost and complexity of building enterprise web applications, which at the time required extensive manual coding. The original 'intra-mart' product was developed to provide a reusable set of Java components for common business functions. This vision of a component-based architecture allowed the company to grow rapidly, catering to Japanese enterprises' unique and complex workflow requirements. By 2007, the company successfully went public on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (Mothers, now Standard Market), further solidifying its financial position and ability to invest in long-term R&D, eventually evolving into a comprehensive Digital Process Automation (DPA) platform.
As a publicly traded company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE: 3850) and a subsidiary of NTT DATA, intra-mart does not follow the traditional venture capital funding rounds common in Silicon Valley. Instead, its growth has been fueled by its IPO in 2007 and consistent revenue from its massive enterprise customer base. As of recent filings, NTT DATA remains the majority shareholder, providing intra-mart with immense financial stability and access to NTT's global infrastructure and sales network. The company's recent strategic moves, such as the acquisition of Jsp Co., Ltd. for ¥880 million in 2023 and the purchase of Prored Partners' spend management business, demonstrate its strong capital position and commitment to expanding its product portfolio through inorganic growth. This relationship with NTT DATA allows it to compete effectively with global giants like Appian and ServiceNow while maintaining its specialized focus on the DPA market.
intra-mart’s offerings are centered around the 'intra-mart Accel Platform' (iAP), which serves as the core infrastructure for low-code development and process orchestration. This is supplemented by the 'Accel Series,' a collection of high-value business applications and extensions. Key modules include IM-Workflow for approval routing, IM-BPM for complex process modeling, and IM-LogicDesigner for no-code logic building. The UI/UX suite, featuring IM-BloomMaker, allows for the creation of modern, responsive interfaces without traditional programming. For collaboration, 'Accel Collaboration' provides groupware features like schedulers and memo pads, while 'Accel Archiver' handles document lifecycle management. Specialized solutions like the 'ERP Value Solution' enable organizations to modernize their ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) by externalizing extensions to the intra-mart platform, thereby maintaining a 'clean core' while achieving high agility.
Historically a leader in Japan, intra-mart has aggressively expanded its geographic footprint across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and into global markets. The company has established strong presences in China (Shanghai), Vietnam, and Hong Kong, often collaborating with regional NTT DATA offices to deliver localized DX solutions. In 2023, NTT Ltd. launched a specialized intra-mart based DX solution in Hong Kong, targeting the growing demand for process modernization in the financial and manufacturing sectors. In February 2025, the company further signaled its global ambitions by establishing a Technical Training Center in Vietnam, aiming to train 1,000 IT professionals to support the international partner ecosystem. While its primary focus remains APAC, it leverages NTT DATA's global reach to support multinational corporations with deployments across Europe and the Americas, positioning itself as a 'Global DX Partner'.
In the last 18 months, intra-mart has undergone a massive technological shift, primarily focused on the integration of Generative AI. The launch of 'IM-Copilot' in late 2024 represented a major milestone, providing developers with an AI assistant capable of generating application code and SQL queries from natural language, drastically reducing the 'time to value' for new projects. The October 2024 update specifically enhanced user experiences with AI-driven process insights and automated data entry. Other recent updates include the release of a new Mobile SDK as open-source software (MIT license), enabling developers to build highly customized mobile apps on the iAP platform. The 2024 'Autumn' update also introduced significant UI/UX improvements to the standard portal and enhanced support for modern authentication methods like OAuth 2.0 for SMTP/IMAP, ensuring the platform stays current with global security standards.
The company culture at NTT DATA INTRAMART is rooted in its values of 'Challenge, Collaboration, and Global Citizenship'. As a 'venture-spirited' company within the larger NTT Group, it maintains an environment that encourages innovation and the continuous pushing of technical boundaries. Professionalism and exceeding customer expectations ('Beyond Expectations') are central to its work philosophy. The company places a high value on diversity and sincere collaboration, aiming to foster a diverse society where businesses seamlessly connect and innovate together. Employees work in a highly technical environment that balances the stability of a major corporation with the agility of a software house. This culture is reflected in its long-standing employee and partner commitment, focusing on building long-term value rather than short-term gains, which has been instrumental in maintaining its market leadership for nearly two decades.
intra-mart has built a robust and active community ecosystem, primarily centered around the 'intra-mart User Group' (IUG), which provides a forum for customers to share best practices, influence product roadmaps, and network with peers. For technical professionals, the 'intra-mart Developer Portal' is a critical resource, offering extensive API documentation, tutorials, and a developer-focused forum. The company hosts major annual events like 'Enterprise Web Solution' (EWS) in Japan, which attracts thousands of attendees and showcases the latest innovations and customer success stories. Furthermore, the company invests heavily in its partner community, which includes over 200 certified system integrators globally. These partners are provided with dedicated technical support and certification programs, ensuring a high standard of implementation quality. The recent establishment of training centers in Southeast Asia further highlights its commitment to growing a global, highly skilled developer community.
