Data Ownership
Helix software is built with a strong commitment to user data rights. Organizations and individuals using Helix retain ownership and control of the data they generate and manage within the platform. The software provider does not claim ownership of user data; instead, Helix acts as a custodian or processor, supporting users in managing, storing, and utilizing their information according to their own policies and requirements.
Data Portability
Helix supports data portability, meaning users can request access to their data in a format that allows for easy transfer to other systems or service providers. Users are generally able to export their information in standard, machine-readable formats, making it straightforward to migrate data if their needs change. The process for requesting data export is typically handled through account management tools or by contacting Helix support directly. Personal data can be deleted or corrected upon request, in line with privacy regulations and user preferences.
Flexible Scalability
Helix software is designed to be highly scalable, supporting organizations as they grow or adjust their operations. Whether an organization needs to expand its user base, increase data storage, or add new features, Helix can accommodate these changes with flexible licensing and resource options.
Adjusting Resources
Organizations can easily add or remove user licenses, storage capacity, or server resources as their needs evolve. This flexibility ensures that companies only pay for what they use, and can adjust their subscription or deployment to match current business requirements. Helix also provides tools for administrators to manage these changes efficiently, minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.
Adaptive Organizational Support
Beyond technical scalability, Helix supports dynamic organizational structures. Teams can be formed, restructured, or dissolved as projects and priorities shift, allowing for agile resource allocation and rapid adaptation to new challenges. This adaptive approach helps organizations remain efficient and competitive as their needs change over time.
Helix software agreements typically include provisions for automatic renewal of subscriptions. These renewals may occur on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis, depending on the terms selected by the customer. Prior to each renewal, users are usually notified in advance—often at least 45 days before the renewal date—so they can review their subscription and make any necessary changes. The renewal fees may be subject to change at the provider’s discretion, with users receiving notice of any price adjustments. It is the user’s responsibility to keep payment information current, and the provider may use tools to update expired card details to ensure uninterrupted service, as authorized by the user.
Users have the right to cancel their Helix subscription by providing notice within a specified period before the renewal date—commonly 30 to 60 days, depending on the contract terms. After the initial contract period, users can generally terminate their agreement at any time with appropriate notice.
Helix providers reserve the right to terminate or suspend services immediately if the user violates the terms of the agreement, engages in unauthorized use, fails to make payments, or if there is suspicion of fraud, misuse, or illegal activity. In cases of non-payment or other breaches, users are usually given a grace period—often between 10 and 30 days—to resolve the issue before termination takes effect.
Helix software is designed to meet a wide range of international compliance and security standards to protect user data and ensure regulatory adherence. These standards may include:
