Pros

I find Postman to be very helpful in creating API collections. It's easy to share with others, and it's great for documentation. The ability to send mail through it helps rectify performance errors and allows for automated scripts for testers. So, I prefer to use Postman.

Cons

The Postman tool is limited to processing 1000 API requests, and there is also a potential for code duplication.

This is a great collection of tools for testing APIs. It's easy to manage and set variables, and sharing with team is a breeze.

Pros

This software has a user-friendly interface that is easy to use for all kinds of requests. I like that you can get codes in any language to send requests.

Cons

If you have a small team or are an individual freelancer, they have a free plan. However, if you have a large team, you'll need to pay for a plan, which I find to be a bit costly.

Pros

This open-source tool supports the BDD format and makes it easier to integrate with CI/CD. It also allows users to preserve values in environment-level variables that can be used in any request's body, headers, and URL. This makes it possible to test automated APIs in a controlled environment before deploying the code to a live system.

Cons

The Postman tool does not allow users to export collections to a CSV file.

Since I started using it, I've been able to debug my APIs faster and more efficiently, which has reduced development time and improved the quality of my code. The ability to document my APIs has also been very helpful in sharing my work with other developers and ensuring everyone is on the same page.

Pros

The best thing about Postman is that it is very easy to use and has a very user-friendly interface. I can create custom HTTP requests, send requests, and receive responses in real time with just a few clicks, which allows me to debug my APIs quickly and efficiently. Also, the ability to automate API testing has saved me a lot of time and allowed me to catch bugs faster.

Cons

Postman may be too much for people just starting out. There are a lot of features and it can be tough to figure out where to begin. Additionally, some of Postman's plans can be pricey for smaller businesses.

Postman has saved us a lot of time by making it easy to design APIs and document endpoints. Being able to switch between environments with different permissions in each has been a huge help. I'm much more productive now than when I was using CURL/command line/in-app with print statements.

Pros

Since we work remotely, having a Postman team has helped us work together and has also increased our speed when working on API design. Another benefit is that it helps the communication lines between the front-end or mobile-app team and the API team, since we can all see exactly what datapoints are included in each endpoint and communicate with the back-end team to request changes.

Cons

This product has had some minor issues (that can be easily fixed with a restart), but these will likely be resolved soon. It would be helpful if there was an auto-save feature when working on endpoints (so that you don't lose your work if you forget to save).

I like using Postman because it has a simple graphical user interface that makes it easy to test API's and develop products. I can also use it to perform HTTP requests like GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE that I can't do directly in my browser.

Pros

I find Postman to be very helpful when working with APIs. Overall, I have had a great experience with Postman.

Cons

Postman offers both free and paid plans, with some limitations on the free version. To use all features, users must upgrade to a paid plan.

Pros

I use postman to test my APIs after I finish developing them. I use the free desktop version, which has limited features, but they're enough for me to do developer testing. I create collections and requests inside them, and everything is clean and organized. Once I finish developer testing, I share or export the collection and send it to the QA engineer.

Cons

If I make a POST request with a large request body, the app becomes unresponsive and takes a while to return to normal.

Pros

If you're on a development team that needs to quickly test APIs, this is a great tool for you.

Cons

Postman's wide adoption has caused them to take on tasks it was never meant to perform. Anything beyond quick API tests, and collection sharing is not well supported. The amount of massaging that has to be done for even the most basic CI and testing tasks point to its limitations as a scalable test framework. Which it is not, and never will be. Postman is a tool, not a framework.
